Currently serving as the Director of Emergency Management for a Florida Sheriff’s Office, John’s vast expertise spans specialized enforcement, leadership, and training.
Throughout his career, John has worked in and supervised elite law enforcement units, including Street Crimes Units and Multi-Jurisdictional Task Forces, where he played a critical role in high-profile investigations, interdiction efforts, and tactical operations. Shaheen M., a Middle Eastern native fluent in Farsi/Persian with working knowledge of Dari, Pashto, Arabic, and Spanish, brings a unique cultural perspective to his instruction. Growing up in the Middle East, he gained firsthand insight into the culture and extremist indoctrination processes, which he has leveraged throughout his 27-year career in U.S. law enforcement.
Retired since 2020, Shaheen served in roles ranging from Community Policing Officer and Federal Task Force Officer with the FBI to Criminal Interdiction Agent in three different states in the United States. He participated in hundreds of major criminal and terrorism cases, seizing contraband, dismantling smuggling operations, and intercepting terrorist activities.
An accomplished author, Shaheen wrote "The Patriot Jihadi™", detailing his upbringing in the Middle East and shedding light on the radicalization of youth, wrote "Smugglers, Inc.®" and co-authored "Evading Honesty®" publications. Named after two of the proprietary courses that emphasize deception detection and smuggling operations, taught exclusively by Triple I Solutions. Shaheen combines his cultural expertise, advanced training in behavioral analysis and deception detection, and extensive field experience to educate law enforcement and intelligence professionals across the globe through a variety of courses related to the Middle East and Terrorism Detection.
